Sitting on a side walk in London, I spoke to the UK’s Chris Gold Finger about his impact on UK’s dancehall. Our conversation speaks of the UK’s scene changing from its traditional rub a dub format to juggling, and the impact this change had on the country’s top sound teams. His sound, Asha World brought a new vibe to dancehall which allowed them to easily defeat sounds such as Saxon, Coxsone,and V Rocket. Asha World’s format was then embraced by most sounds in the UK. Chris Goldfinger admits that sound’s success got tooo big for him and his team and they could not keep up with the bookings
